The Book of Floating

Many years ago I read The Book of Floating, by Michael Hutchinson.  Last night I found my old copy.  During my float session last night it came to me to search for it and read it again.  I found it and it is fantastic.  Just reading the back cover alone would give anyone the excitement for floating.  "Why isn't everyone trying to implement floatation into their lives", was the thought that came to my mind.  This book was written in 1984 and Michael Hutchinson seems positively convinced that it is on the cusp of becoming a cultural phenomenon.  It didn't.  Why?  The world would be a much more peaceful place if floatation was a regular routine in people's lives over the past thirty years.

"Promising not only profound relaxation, but also increased individual capabilities and fundamental changes in our way of life, the flotation tank has been found to have an astonishing range of educational and therapeutic uses, from problem solving and accelerated learning to weight reduction and the relief of arthritis and migraines."  Michael Hutchinson

That is the first line of the back cover.  Who is going to tell me that they don't want profound relaxation or increased individual capabilities?  I say no body.  I am not overweight or do I suffer from arthritis or migraines but I guarantee the people that do sure would like this benefit of floating.

Please follow my blog and help me get the word out to the world that Flotation Therapy is a real way to help ourselves to become better people, live a life pain free and free of stress.
